Scenic Dept Manager

The Scenic Dept Manager is responsible for the overall supervision of the Scenic and Décor areas.   As the Manager you will lead a team and be responsible for organizing, cataloging and budgeting all sets and props required for the events.  This involves working closely with our in house designers and manufacturing team.   


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work in conjunction with other departments on concepting, designing, and planning set layouts and styling.
  • Preparing scenic and décor quotes for all events
  • Maintain organization of set elements. 
  • Create/maintain and current catalog with visual of scenic pieces to include prices
  • Drive/Attend meetings for new shows or concepts when assigned. Train and mentor team members.
  • Lead freelance Scenic Carpenter(s) on structural set designs, construction, and set installations projects.
  • Track expenditures by project and operating costs.
  • Recommend purchases for appropriate scenic supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise daily care and cleanup of Scenic and Décor aisles
  • Front line responsibility to implement and maintain high safety standards.
  • Train shop team and Floor Crew on proper use, maintenance, and repair of sets.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures in the performance of job duties.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Ability to work with multiple Department, have strong communication skills and computer skills. Willingness to learn inventory software.

Strong team builder, with ability to mentor and develop a deep team.
